We are sad as well tell of the death of 
Andrew Ackley who passed away at his home 
in Steelville Saturday night, Jan 26, at 
about midnight.  "Andy" as he was known 
by hosts of friends, was 81 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Francis 
Ackley, two sisters, other relatives and 
many friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Jonas 
Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, at 2pm the Rev 
R A Schondelmeyer and the Rev Sam L Roper, 
officiating.  Interment Tuesday Jan 29 at 
Cape Girardeau, Mo.

I wish to thank my many friends for the many acts of 
kindness and sympathy extended, to me at the death of 
my dear husband, Andrew Ackley.  Especial thanks to the 
Rev Raymond A Schondelmeyer and the Rev Sam L Roper for 
their consoling words, to Mr Ralph E Palmer and Mrs 
Pauline Shelton for their hymns of comfort; to the friends 
who provided the beautiful floral offerings, and to the 
Jonas Funeral Home for their courteous services, and 
especially to James Decker and Harry Jonas for their 
response to my call at the hour of midnight.
