1668 Sold dwelling house and one fourth of land by the south harbor in Salem to William Dicer

April 29 1671 Matthew Barton of Salem, mariner, deposed, aged about 32 years, his deposition being
recorded June 30 1671

July 1672 Charged with breach of sabath

July 1673 Presented at court for two counts of breach of the sabath and riding from town to town on the
           Lord's days. He failed to appear.

July 1674 Same charge brought again.

July 1675 emigrated from Salem Essex MA
                   Martha Barton is mentioned as a temporary resident of Salem on account of the Indian troubles
                   In court for judgement of 12 pounds

1683 bought from Hannah Simmons, administratrix of the estate of Richard Simmons, all of Salem, a house and one sixth acre of land at Salem for L35

1686 bought from Edmond Woolland Sr a small piece of land adjoining for L6.5

1721 sold to Ezekial Goltwigth a common wright in Salem, in the southeast division of common lands, granted
by the last meeting of the proprietors.

1729 being then of Salem, sold the farm of 300 acres, of Cape Porpoise, which was formerly the home of his father.

1686 Anne presented to the court for fornification. Mentioned in the case were Francis Raynes,
Job Allcoke, John Penwill and Henry Symson. She was fined 5 pounds for her delinquency or to receive 13
stripes at the post.  In Oct at Saco it was noted that the fine for Ann Green alias Barton had been paid.

Again charged with Walter Penwell for "frequently keeping of one another's company as man and wife
more like man and wife than neighbors.  She married this same Walter shortly after William's death.

1689 William was one of those appointed for the surveying and laying out of lots of land

Anne and Walter deeded William's homestead for life to son-in-law Solomon Holman who deeded it to his son
